Be sure that each page prints full-size.

2. A personal statement indicating your area(s) of research interest, your long term goals and any research experience prior to applying to graduate school.

3. Request three letters of recommendation and have these letters sent directly to:

Genetics Program Office

Consideration may be given to students who have a GPA less than 3.0 if an alternate proof of potential academic excellence, such as outstanding letters of reference, exceptional performance on the subject GRE, etc., is provided for consideration by the admissions committee.

5. GRE General scores are required. (have originals sent or include a copy)
Institution 1465, Program Code GRE 0210
Subject GRE scores are highly recommended for full consideration.

We highly recommend that you send all of the necessary documents as soon as possible, and certainly no later than February 1, 2008. For full consideration for fellowships, applications should be submitted by January 5, 2008.

Highly qualified applicants who reside in the United States may be asked to visit Michigan State University and meet with members of the Genetics faculty and graduate students. In such case, the Genetics Program will cover travel expenses.
